Welcoming Baby Number Two with the M Family | A Pittsburgh In-Home Newborn Session

A cozy in-home newborn session welcoming baby number two with a sweet Pittsburgh family—all photos by Pittsburgh newborn photographer, Danielle Blewitt Photography.

Session Type: Newborn Session
Location: In-Home

One of my favorite things about photographing newborn sessions is getting to step into a family’s home during those early days and just capture what life looks like right now. Every family, every baby, every season of life looks a little different — and that’s what makes each one so special.

I photographed this family when they were expecting their first daughter, so getting to come back and meet baby number two felt like such a full-circle moment. Their home was just as warm and cozy as I remembered.

Funny how different things are the second time around. Their first session was all calm and sleepy newborn vibes. This time? New baby sister had other plans. She was awake and alert for almost the entire session — wide eyes taking in everything happening around her. She didn’t want to miss a thing.

And then there was big sis. Still just a baby herself at under two, she was full of energy and curious about everything we were doing. Sitting still wasn’t really on her agenda — she had places to be and things to explore. The sweetest moment came when she decided to climb into the crib with her new baby sister, grab her Bible, and sit right down next to her. It held her attention in a way nothing else had, and it gave us seriously adorable moments.

Here’s a little sneak peek of some favorites from this cozy in-home newborn session.

Life Moves Too Fast!

Hi, I’m Danielle. I’m a Pittsburgh Family + Newborn photographer. As a mom of two, I know how fleeting the early years are. Since we can’t slow down time, we can record the moments that mean so much. I help Pittsburgh families hit pause by recording these memories in photographs and films and I would love to work with you. Let’s see what we can create!
