I’ve been photographing this family since before their older son arrived — their very first maternity session was how we met, and years and memories later, getting to walk back into their home for a brand new baby felt like exactly what this job is supposed to be.
Big brother was cute and curious, but also had some opinions and limitations on his participation. The baby had his own ideas about the day. And somewhere in the middle of all of it, these two parents just kept steady — laughing when things went sideways, resetting when they needed to, and never once losing their cool. There’s something really telling about watching a family handle a session like this one, and these two handled it with a lot of grace.
This sweet family is always a favorite and whether they believe it or not, they are just a natural at these photo sessions. Even when it felt like things weren’t going according to plan, the photos tell a different story.
