Getting to photograph another photographer is always an honor. This sweet mom shared how excited she was to finally be the one in the photos — and you could tell. She was fully present, fully relaxed, and completely enjoying every second with her family.
This session had a few Pittsburgh spring curveballs built in. The original plan was peak cherry blossoms at Allegheny Commons, but an unseasonably early spring pushed the blooms ahead of schedule. This family offered so much grace about it, and what we ended up with was honestly a win — a lush park with new growth, a warm and comfortable evening, and the most beautiful golden light.
Their two boys were exactly what you’d expect — silly, full of energy, and absolutely in the fart-joke era of life. As a mom in the same season, I felt right at home. We also discovered our kids go to the same school, which was a fun and unexpected connection. And the youngest? He was celebrating his 7th birthday that evening, which made the whole session feel extra special.
This family showed up ready to have fun, and the laughter never stopped.
