As a Pittsburgh family photographer, I feel so lucky to live in a space that offers an abundance of beautiful locations that can highlight the unique beauty of each season. During these summer months when the days are long and the sun is golden, I LOVE venturing out to record it all during a family photoshoot. This sweet family is one of my all-time favorites. I’ve been working with them since they moved here when their oldest was just turning one. Fast forward to today and they’ve grown exponentially in little feet and cuteness.
This sweet mom proposed that she was in search of beautiful flowers and beautiful light for their next family photo session. Simmons Farm was an easy choice as it offers some of the most spectacular and magical flower fields. Despite a forecasted heat index of 100+ degrees, she was game to keep with our plan. On the way, it was blue skies with some incoming cloud coverage. I didn’t know it at the time, but these clouds would help create some of the most dreamy skies I’ve ever seen.
Even though it was quite a bit steamy, these kiddos were ROCKSTARS – truly. It was hot, buggy, and weedy…not what you envision for a magical session. However, despite it all these little ones crushed their session with cuteness. We ventured all over the space trying to capture all the beauty, the magic of the sky, and of course, (and most important of all) the love within this family.
