Mini Sessions are the perfect way to capture a season of life beautifully (and simply).
Mini sessions are a seasonal, short-and-sweet version of a full photography session. They are a great fit for families who want updated photos without the time commitment of a full session. They’re quick. They're fun. And they’re designed to give you beautiful, high-quality images with a stress-free experience.
MINI SESSIONS ARE PERFECT IF:
- You want to document a milestone or a special occasion.
- You have little ones that can warm up quickly and won't be overwhelmed by the pace of a shorter session.
- You want beautiful, updated images but don't need a full gallery.
- You're flexible on dates and locations, since these happen on pre-determined days.
Fall Minis at Fern Hollow in Sewickley

Fall is easily the most popular time of year for updating family photos, and Fern Hollow is one of my favorite spots for capturing all the natural beauty of the season. The landscape is full of vibrant trees, soft light, and the kind of peaceful fall backdrop that makes every photo feel timeless.

Easy Online Booking and Payment
All sessions require a $50-$100 deposit to secure the session. The final balance is due prior to the session.
Private Online Gallery with Shop
All images included in your package will be available through a private online gallery with access to the best professional photo labs.
Complimentary Styling
Every session includes access to my online styling service that will help you coordinate outfits and shop for you.
Personal Print Release
The images delivered in your gallery are yours to use and print as needed.
Sales Tax
All sessions and products are subject to a 7% PA Sales Tax. All digital downloads are considered physical goods in Pennsylvania.

Once booked, every client will get access to the private Client Lounge. This is a space filled with resources to help you prepare for the best family photo session.

3. Get your gallery back and pick your favorites!
Your private online gallery will be delivered within a few weeks so you can choose your included images and upgrade if desired.

Hey there! I’m Danielle Blewitt—a Pittsburgh-based family photographer, mom of two, and someone who fully understands how wild (and wonderful) life can be with little ones. Somehow my kiddos aren’t so little anymore and many of you might recognize them running wild at school events….but I embrace it knowing I’m still living in a season of life I will one day miss.
I specialize in capturing connection, personality, and real moments. Mini sessions are one of my favorite ways to help families freeze time in a fun and relaxed way.

Mini sessions are held on pre-determined dates and locations throughout the year. Seasonal options are offered including outdoor session, studio, tree farm, holiday and more.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, you’ll receive a private online gallery to view and select your favorite images from the full gallery. You will be able to download the included number of photos for your specific package.
After your gallery is delivered, you’ll be able to select the imgaes you want to download. If you love more than the 5 or 10 included photos, you have the option to purchase additional images or upgrade to the full gallery.
I understand that curveballs come all the time. In the event of bad weather or an unforeseen circumstance that conflicts with your scheduled photo session, I am happy to reschedule!
Absolutely! Our fur babies are family too and they are more than welcome if permitted at the location. Most Pittsburgh parks and outdoor spaces are dog friendly but check with me prior just to be sure! Dogs can definitely add another level of complexity which can sometimes feel chaotic for the shorter sessions. If you can, sometimes it helps to enlist a friend or family member to help things run smoothly.
Minis are great for quick updates and milestones. Full sessions allow more time, flexibility, and variety. If your child takes time to warm up or you want more candid storytelling, a full session may be a better fit.
All sessions will get photos within 2 weeks from the session date. If you sign the model release and approve, you will get a link to your sneak peek blog post within 3 days after your session. The sneak peek includes 5-7 favorite photos from your session. You can share this on social media or share the link with friends and family.
Your gallery will be delivered via email and where you can download your full gallery with one click.
Yes, of course. I offer an easy and convenient way to order directly from your gallery. I offer high quality, affordable, quality prints, enlargements, canvases and other items. These items are printed at a professional photo lab that I highly recommend.
Regardless of where you choose to print your images, I encourage you to not only print them and enjoy them but be sure to use a professional lab. Please do not use retail locations such as Walgreens or Walmart as their machines are not consistently calibrated to produce professional quality images.
Yes! I will usually help erase or minimize any non-permanent marks as needed. This could include acne that snuck up, a scratch or dry skin. In most cases, it’s a simple retouch and it’s included with your session.
In the event of the need for more advanced editing, I’ll chat with you about retouching options for you to decide.

A full family session is a little different than a mini session. When you book a full session, you have the luxury and flexibility to choose your own date, location and time slot.
Maternity sessions are the perfect way to capture the beauty of the change of seasons for your family and pairs perfectly with newborn photos when your little one arrives.
