Pittsburgh Family and Newborn Photographer – Danielle Blewitt Photography

By now you have survived photo day, viewed your gallery and maybe even started decorating your home with your beautiful new portraits. But the fun isn’t over yet –it’s time to write a review for your photographer!
Are you excited yet? Don’t worry — I have enough excitement to share with you about this next step!
Why Reviews Mean So Much
I admit there is a giddy feeling that creeps up when I see that I have a new review. It’s sort of like getting a surprise package in the mail or a hand written note. I love the sentiment it carries.
But aside from the happy feelings, it really means so much to us personally and for our photography business. It is your story and your family that brings the images we capture to life. You are the lifeblood of the business we so thoughtfully craft so it means so much more when we get feedback from you!
When you provide thoughtful and genuine feedback, we take it to heart.
Why Should You Leave a Review
Us photographers are small business owners and the power of a review helps in so many ways:
A 5-star review tells Google we are active and liked which is great for SEO!
While we aren’t necessarily studying the algorithm puzzle, we know of a few things that make Google happy. When Google sees that a website is active and well liked, it is happy to boost us up the search rankings a bit more than a page that is doing anything.
More reviews = better search ranking = helps our small business succeed!
It helps other families in their search for a photographer.
Hearing a first-hand account of your experience means so much more than any marketing we could do. Reviews add to our credibility and can help a potential client to make a final decision more easily.
What if you are not happy? If you have constructive feedback, or suggestions for improvement, we would surely appreciate a private message via email. If fact, we welcome it. We are always searching for ways to improve and make your experience the best it can be.
How to Write a Great Review for Your Family Photographer
Short and sweet is always appreciated but including a few important and sentimental mentions will add to our credibility and make the review useful to other potential clients.
Be Authentic and Genuine
Do not get hung up trying to write the perfect review. Give your review some feeling by being authentic and genuine in your statements.
Be Specific with Examples
“We had a great experience. The photos are beautiful. We highly recommend her.” blah blah blah
Although the sentiment is appreciated, this review is not unique nor helpful to others. Use specific examples about what stood out most to you about your experience.
“…she was fantastic with our kids. We were nervous about them not cooperating but Danielle was a total pro and worked so well with them. She was really able to capture their personalities to perfection.”
This review is an example of a review that would be helpful to other parents wanting to know if this photographer was right for their family.
Questions to Ask Yourself When Writing a Thoughtful Review
Think about your whole experience and pick a few things that really stood out to you and write about those things! Here are some questions for thought:
- Was the experience what you expected?
- How did the photographer make you feel?
- Did you feel prepared in knowing what to expect?
- How did your photos make you feel when you received them?
- Will you use this photographer again?
Share Your Review Across Multiple Platforms
Photographers market themselves across multiple platforms. Making the review available across these platforms is helpful and simple to do once the review is written. Danielle Blewitt Photography for example can be reviewed here:
