A sneak peek of a fun and dreamy family photo session during golden hour at one of my favorite fall locations in Pittsburgh. All photos by Pittsburgh family photographer, Danielle Blewitt Photography.
Session Type: Family Photos
Location: Fern Hollow Nature Center | Sewickley, PA

“The days are long and the years are short” — this is something you hear often as a new parent. It’s advice that we all try to embrace the best we can amidst the chaos of raising a family. As our little ones grow, the seasons of chaos tend to shift and morph into a new type of busy. Sports, activities, play dates, homework and a never ending to do list become the new normal. The advice we were once given as new parents sneaks up on us and we come to realize how fast these years are really moving. Pausing for a moment to record a snapshot of life in this moment through photos is a great way to preserve the memories of “now” for years to come.
I had the privilege of working with some good friends to help them update their long overdue family photos. I love my job as a family photographer and it’s even more special when I can work with friends. These kids were troopers through the session, humoring me and all the embarrassing tactics I employ to get a good laugh. We had the most amazing picturesque fall day at Fern Hollow Nature Center. It was warm and comfortable and best of all we had some amazing light. Between some happy campers, a beautiful backdrop and pretty light, we had the perfect recipe for some beautiful family photos. k
I’m excited to share more from this beautiful golden hour session but for now I’m sharing some of my favorites in a sneak peek:
