Watching families grow over time is one of the best parts of this job—and this one has been with me from early on. I’ve had the honor of photographing them before their first daughter arrived, through milestones, celebrations, and now their son’s first birthday. It’s always a treat to see them again.
We met at the Luxe Loft studio to mark the big milestone. As always, mom came prepared with the cutest outfits and thoughtful touches. But as any parent knows, kids often have their own ideas. Big sister wasn’t exactly feeling the photo vibe, and little brother brought all the wild soon-to-be-toddler energy.
The best part? These parents handled it all with grace, patience, and a sense of humor. Their love and connection as a family made the chaos feel kind of beautiful. And despite all the curveballs, we captured sweet, real moments that reflect exactly what this season of life looks like.
