Location: Fern Hollow Nature Center – Sewickley, PA
It’s always fun when photography overlaps with everyday life—like crossing paths at school or cheering from the sidelines at sports. I’ve seen this family around over the years, and it was such a treat to finally get them in front of my camera.
They brought the full crew—including their dog, who may have been the most unexpectedly hilarious part of the session. He was more than happy to pose… until he felt left out or like we were done with him. Then he’d pop back in with perfect timing and totally steal the show. It gave us all some good laughs along the way.
The evening itself couldn’t have been more perfect. The colors at Fern Hollow are finally starting to show up, and the golden hour light was absolutely stunning. This session was full of fun, connection, and so much laughter—truly one of those sessions I hated to see end.
