Fall Family Photo Session at Washington’s Landing | Full of Personality + Fall Color

A sneak peek of a full family session at the beautiful Washington’s Landing (Herrs Island) in Pittsburgh. All photos by Pittsburgh family photographer, Danielle Blewitt Photography.

Session Type: Family Session
Location: Washington’s Landing (Herrs Island) – Pittsburgh, PA

Washington’s Landing is one of those hidden fall gems in Pittsburgh. Nestled along the river with its quiet paths, unique architecture, and that stunning stone staircase, it always delivers. Even with this year’s slower-changing fall colors, the space gave us the prettiest blend of tones—creating the perfect backdrop to explore and capture some beautiful moments.

This session was extra special because it was with one of my longtime families—almost from the very beginning. Watching their crew grow over the years and getting to document each chapter has truly been a joy.

Their three kiddos brought all the personality. Big sister came ready to shine, complete with the cutest outfit and accessories that matched her fashion-loving spirit. Little sister added her own dose of spunk and sweetness, and their youngest—well, he kept us all laughing with his new signature move that looked a little like a chicken wing pose (and made it into more than one frame 😄).

We explored the island, chased light, and soaked in everything this season has to offer.

I’m so excited to share more with this sweet family soon, but for now, here’s a little sneak peek of some favorite moments from their fall family session at Washington’s Landing:

Life Moves Too Fast!

Hi, I’m Danielle. I’m a Pittsburgh Family + Newborn photographer. As a mom of two, I know how fleeting the early years are. Since we can’t slow down time, we can record the moments that mean so much. I help Pittsburgh families hit pause by recording these memories in photographs and films and I would love to work with you. Let’s see what we can create!
