Extended Family Photos at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Pittsburgh, PA

A sneak peek of a sweet extended family session that took place at Phipps Garden Center and Botanical gardens in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh. All photos by Pittsburgh family photographer, Danielle Blewitt Photography.

Family is everything. This sweet family of four was just at the tail end of a visit from their grandparents. We were lucky enough for cooperative weather so they could join us for this session. It’s always such a honor to help document generations in this way.

These two little ones aren’t so little anymore and instead of me having to entertain, they were the ones telling the jokes. It was such a fun session hearing all the things that come with this age. I have to say though that some of my favorite moments came organically when I asked the grandparents to tell stories while they were all sitting together. I’m pretty sure their grandfather had some funny jokes because there was a lot of laughter and made for some of my favorite photos.

I’m excited to share more from this sweet extended family session but for now a few highlights from our evening:

Life moves too fast. Although we can’t slow it down, we can record the moments that fill our hearts and tell our story through photos and films. I am a Pittsburgh family photographer and film maker that helps families record their stories and pause some of life’s greatest moments.

Life Moves Too Fast!

Hi, I’m Danielle. I’m a Pittsburgh Family + Newborn photographer. As a mom of two, I know how fleeting the early years are. Since we can’t slow down time, we can record the moments that mean so much. I help Pittsburgh families hit pause by recording these memories in photographs and films and I would love to work with you. Let’s see what we can create!
