Some years everything just lines up, and this was definitely their year. Beautiful light, perfect weather, and two girls who showed up ready to go.
I’ve photographed this family for more than five years now, starting when their youngest had just turned one. Getting to come back each fall and see how much these two girls have grown is such an honor.
This year, they really took to modeling. They came with their own ideas, jumped into everything we tried, and went from sweet to silly without missing a beat. Their moms were right there with them, and the whole session had such an easy, fun rhythm to it.
We met at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Oakland right as golden hour kicked in, and the early fall evening couldn’t have been better for it.
