Session Type: Mini Session (Cherry Blossoms)
Location: Allegheny Commons Park in the North Side of Pittsburgh
Chasing cherry blossoms in Pittsburgh requires some patience and flexibility. With the variability of the spring season and fluctuating Pittsburgh weather, finding the perfect combination of flowering trees and comfortable weather really comes down to luck. I’d love to say we planned this session perfectly but in reality we got really lucky with the most gorgeous day to record this park and it’s cherry blossoms at the peek of bloom.
This family is one of my OGs…one that I’ve worked with through the years and had the pleasure of watching their babies grow. There a relaxed comfort and vibe when I know the family so well and it really helps having a connection with the kiddos as we work through the session recording memories. These two little ones kept their mom and dad on their toes but kept us all laughing through it all. It was a beautiful night to explore this Pittsburgh park searching for all the perfect angles to record a combination of sweet moments, beautiful light and flowering cherry blossoms.
