I first photographed this family about a year ago for their newborn session, so getting to come back for this little guy’s first birthday felt really full-circle. A lot changes in a year, and it was so cool to see him in this whole new stage.
He’s got these little curls and the sweetest smile, and he was so into the camera the entire time. He made my job easy.
It was a little chilly out, but you’d never know it from the photos. This family was such a good sport about it, and Hartwood Acres gave us beautiful natural backdrops and really pretty light. Peeking back through photos — everything feels warm even when the temps didn’t quite match.
With such an exciting year ahead, this sweet family has so many more memories to look forward to. It was such an honor to document this milestone, and I can’t wait for many more. In the meantime, I’ll look forward to bumping into them at the pool this summer!
