Some families you photograph once. And then there are the families you get to grow with — the ones where you show up and it already feels familiar. This family is that kind of family. I’ve had the honor of photographing this crew for years, and watching this crew expand has been such an honor.
This session was all about celebrating their youngest turning one — the baby of five boys. Five. And if you’ve ever wondered what five brothers looks like in real life, a family photo session will give you a pretty accurate preview. There is energy. There is movement. There is someone always doing something they probably shouldn’t be. The middle guys have fully claimed the wild card titles, and they wore those crowns proudly.
But the reason we came together for photos in this season in particular was to celebrate the birthday boy. He is still in that snuggly baby stage, not walking just yet. Which meant no running away from me! He was sweet, cuddly, completely content to just be held. At the end of the session, he had his moment to celebrate in style with a smash cake all to himself and he wasn’t shy about it.
