Seasons of life come and go, but none is as memorable (or wildly chaotic) as the season when you bring home baby number two. When you bring home your first baby, every moment is dedicated to loving and snuggling that little one and balancing recovery and adjustment for everyone in the whole family. When you bring home baby number two, three, or four, that quiet, peaceful transition is no longer a thing. With a toddler running around, your time, energy, and love are split. However…this insanely crazy time is so special. It’s filled with so many new firsts and an exponential new love for your new family dynamic.
This cute big sister was just as sweet as she was social. She was my little assistant helping to find the right light, get me set up, and keep me on my toes. But the most impressive of all was how well she embraced her big sister role, helping to hold, kiss, and soothe her new baby brother throughout the session. This little guy was pure perfection at 10 days new. With so many favorites from this session, it was tough to narrow them down, but here are some highlights from our time together:
