One of my favorite parts of being a newborn photographer in Pittsburgh is getting to walk into a home during those first few weeks and simply document what’s there. No big production — just a brand new baby and two parents figuring it out together.
This sweet family just welcomed a baby girl, officially making them a family of three (plus two very interested pups). She was calm, content, and completely relaxed — which made the session flow so easily. Mom and dad had that steady, soaking-it-all-in energy that makes newborn sessions feel peaceful instead of rushed.
Their two fur babies added their own dynamic to the day — one energetic puppy who was very curious about everything happening, and one older, more seasoned pup who handled it all like a pro. Both made sure to check in and be part of the story.
The winter snow outside gave us beautiful light inside their home, and we were able to capture some of those simple, classic newborn images that never go out of style — the kind you’ll look back on years from now and remember exactly how tiny she was.
