I’ve had the pleasure of photographing this family for years now, so getting to walk into their brand new home and document this next chapter for them felt extra special. They’d just moved in, and their grandparents were in town visiting from out of state, which made the whole thing feel even more like a celebration.
The kids are always so much fun to photograph. Being at home just amplified it. They were silly in all the ways I’ve come to expect from them, but there was a sweetness to it too, especially with grandma and grandpa in the mix.
Mom had recently broken her ankle and spent the whole session in a boot, and you’d never have known it from her smile. She was an absolute good sport, right there in the middle of the chaos, laughing along with everyone else.
