I first photographed this family a few years ago, so getting to see them again was such a treat. Their two kids are so much bigger now — and more mature too — but just as much fun to spend time with as they were back then.
We had originally planned to shoot at The Frick, only to realize once we got there that it’s closed on Mondays. This family rolled with it without missing a beat, and we pivoted to Mellon Park instead.
Mellon Park turned out to be the perfect backup plan. It gave us a wide-open space with so many different backdrops to play with, all on one of those beautiful late summer evenings.
The session was full of silliness and laughter from start to finish. It’s always fun watching kids grow up a little more with each session, and this one was no exception.
